I began my career in education as a teacher in Old Orchard Beach for two years and then entered the school counseling profession. I earned a BS from the University of Maine, an M.ED. from USM in School Counseling, and a C.A.G.S. from USM in Supervision and Play Therapy. My passion is working with students and I love being at Coastal Ridge Elementary School. Please stop by my office anytime.
In January of 2016 I was selected to attend the ASCA School Counselor of the Year festivities is Washington, DC as the State of Maine Representative. I was honored to meet our First Lady, Michelle Obama and our fantastic Senators Angus King and Susan Collins.
My husband, Ted, retired as Athletic Director at York High School. We are learning together how to navigate this new chapter.
My daughter and her family live near Chicago. Family is most important so we make sure we see each other throughout the year.
(My son-in-law, Jim is always taking the pictures.)
We love to play with our granddaughters, Emma and Maggie and new grandson, Teddy.
When I am not at school...
I like to be with family and friends. I like to ski, play tennis, read, walk in the woods, ride my bike, paddle board and practice yoga.
